Position Title: VP of Technology
Reporting to: Global CTO
Location: Beijing, China

3 key criteria are:

•Open-minded technology leader with extremely attention to details and execution

Responsibilities:

    Lead development teams in Beijing office to build Mobile and Social products, both games and platform services.
    Work together with studio leads to ensure that tech team can always deliver beyond the requirements of the project/products
    Build the team into world-class internet technology team with commonly recognized “talent” in all tech areas in each studio, such as Unity, PHP, Flash, C++, etc.
    Handle overall headcount planning, participate in recruitment process and be accountable for the quality of the hiring.
    Work together with studio leads and HRBP to continuously identify, groom and retain the key members in tech teams (30%)
    Take initiative in tech team members’ technical and professional development
    Manage the full life cycle of the development process, and ensures that we have right tool for the right job for all development practices.
    Assess, recommend and spearhead technologies to support company needs.

Performance Criteria:

    Clearly defined Sprint objectives and all the objectives can be met in terms time and qualify (accepted by studio leads and deliverable receivers)
    Projects are not delayed because of tech teams’ performance
    Minimum one commonly recognized “guru” in each tech area in each studio
    Key members (30%) have mutually-agreed development plan
    Team members’ engagement level (by company’s survey)
   

Qualifications:

    Commonly recognized tech “guru” in internet industry in general and internet game industry in particular
    10+ years’ experience of building large scale web applications, with deep understanding of all technologies to build scalable web and mobile cross-platform product, including U3D, LAMP, Java, C++, JavaScript, HTML5, SQL and NoSQL, iOS and Android.
    Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to use cutting edge technology
    Previous start-up experience is a strong plus
    Must be extremely hands-on with excellent troubleshooting skill.
    Working level English proficiency
    Love games or willing and open to learn about games
    Must be enthusiastic, performance-driven, self-starter and team player.
    Highly responsive and quick execution
    Willing to make discretional efforts and work over time

Note：

    Candidates hired from abroad must commit to working in Beijing office for minimum 3 years.
